This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how subscriptions to Ask Kazmo (the "App"), operated by Digital Macaroni, are billed, how to cancel, and when refunds are available. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.
1. Free Questions, Plans, and Passes
New users can ask up to three questions for free to try Ask Kazmo. After that, Ask Kazmo offers subscription plans and one-time day passes; current pricing is shown on our pricing page. Day passes are one-time purchases that do not auto-renew; subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, as described below.
2. Subscriptions and Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis and automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. Prices for subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play may be higher than on our website to account for the platform fees charged by Apple and Google.
3. How to Cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will retain access until then.
- Website subscriptions (processed by Creem, our Merchant of Record): cancel through your account settings, or contact us at hello@askkazmo.com.
- Apple App Store subscriptions: cancel through your Apple account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
- Google Play subscriptions: cancel through your Google Play account (Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions). Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
4. Refunds (General)
Except as required by applicable law or as expressly stated in this policy, subscription fees are non-refundable, and no partial refunds are issued for unused days within a billing period. Refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies; we are unable to issue refunds for those purchases directly.
5. EU, EEA, and UK Right of Withdrawal (14 Days)
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from your subscription within fourteen (14) days of the date it commences, without giving any reason, and to receive a full refund. To exercise this right, contact us at hello@askkazmo.com (or, for App Store / Google Play purchases, request the refund through Apple or Google) within the 14-day period. Where you have asked to begin using the paid service during the withdrawal period and then withdraw, we may retain an amount proportionate to the service already provided, to the extent permitted by law.
6. Certain U.S. State Cancellation Rights
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights to cancel a subscription within a short period after purchase. If you believe you are entitled to such a right, contact us at hello@askkazmo.com and we will process your request in accordance with applicable law.
